Meet Rach (she/her)

I’m an Australian Certified Marriage Celebrant and love to tell a story, particularly love stories. Since 2019 I’ve been travelling Australia celebrating love. And I’m very prepared to jump on a plane and marry lovers abroad, just say the word!

A Love Language Ceremony involves working closely with you to craft a meaningful ceremony that is distinctly yours and delivered in a way that is most aligned with who you are as a couple. You will be buzzing when listening to the unique chapters that make up your story, with your family and friends nodding along, so proud to be part of it all!

Most importantly, I bring out the FUN and have that felt by everyone, cementing your ceremony as the start of the party, not just a stuffy formality.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Firstly, you can’t already be married, be directly related, be under 18 years old, or unable to freely give your consent.

    To start the legal marriage process, you must complete a Notice Of Intended Marriage Form and give it to your celebrant 1-18 months before your wedding and show ID docs that prove your date and place of birth, identity, and that any previous marriages have ended.

    During the wedding, both parties’ full legal names must be said in front of witnesses, you must sign the required legal paperwork, your celebrant must state the legal definition of marriage in front of witnesses, and you’re required to recite a legal line of vows. The rest of the ceremony is entirely up to our imagination.

  • No, you don’t have to be a citizen or hold a permanent residency to have your marriage registered in Australia.

  • No, a valid overseas marriage is generally recognised in Australia but not registered. To have your marriage registered in Australia, I would recommend having a small legal ceremony at home before you head abroad for your destination wedding. Luckily, I’m available for both and have my suitcase ready at the door.

  • Head over to the contact page, fill in the enquiry form, or reach out to rachel@lovelanguage.com.au. To provide a quote, I need to know your wedding date and location. I will then send your quote, and once it’s accepted, I will send a booking form and deposit invoice - both need to be returned/paid before your date is secured. I will then give you access to the Couple’s Portal, where we kick-off the planning and lock in a catch-up.

  • Yes. The answer is always yes.

  • Good question, but I need more information, like the location of your ceremony, to provide an accurate quote that includes the travel fee. Reach out on my contact page or email rachel@lovelanguage.com.au to chat dollars.

  • Yes, I’m showing up with a state-of-the-art sound system, including Bose S1 Pro speakers and a cordless Sennheiser mic. I don’t need access to power; I’m completely battery-operated, so we can literally marry you anywhere, and no one will miss a thing!

  • The best thing about a modern ceremony is you do you! There are no rules. Pick your best side for photos and run with it.
